Nature and trees have impacted my life significantly. "Way to Roots" is the parent company from where "Kalpavriksha" is born.
"What you seek, is seeking you"
Kalpavriksha means a wish fulfilling tree and is created with the intent that whoever comes in touch with it's essence, get what they seek! This title resonated with the meaning and my experience as a participant of DMT from Kolkatta Sanved-Tata Institute of Social sciences.
I love dance and it found me back when I was 28. I felt *OD (Organisation Development) as a way of life and was able to find it. I never knew about DMT and Mumbai made it possible for me. It made me realise why I love dancing! It is a phycho-somatic experience. Body never lies!"Put your body in motion and your psyche will heal itself" - Gabrielle Roth.
The process in DMT is simple and subtle but impactful and powerful. It has objectives, goals and measurement to evaluate and quantify.
Some of my significant insights during DMT course was about body image, gender dynamics, testing my own conditioned beliefs about body image, exploring creativity, polarities of "bound & free", lead and follow, emotions and much more. The group process is similar to OD but with one difference which is "equality" as core principle in DMT.
Kalpavriksha provides safe and non-judgmental space for you to experience your own self, your authentic movement, your change process to integrate yourself at physical, mental, emotional and social levels through the process. It integrates, heals, empowers, and transforms! What hits me and shapes me can be very different from others experiences in shaping them. We come together to accept, respect each other, share, co-exist & grow together!
*Organisation development (OD) is a system-wide application of behavioural science knowledge to the planned development and reinforcement of Organisational strategies, structures and processes for improving an Organisation’s effectiveness. – Cummings and Worley
